Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Gmail Emails Exporter browser extension ("the extension", "we") handles your information. We built the extension to be private by design.

1. Your email data stays on your device

The extension reads and exports your Gmail messages locally inside your own browser. Exported files (CSV, Excel, JSON) are generated on your computer and downloaded directly to it. We do not upload, store, sell, or share the content of your emails, contacts, or attachments on any server.

2. Anonymous usage data we do collect

To improve reliability and fix bugs, the extension sends limited, non-content diagnostic events to our backend, such as:

These events do not include the content of your emails or your exported data.

3. Permissions

The extension requests access only to mail.google.com so it can read and export your messages while you use Gmail, plus storage to remember your settings. It does not run on other websites.

4. Third-party services

Diagnostic and feedback events are processed through Supabase, our backend provider, solely for the purposes described above.

5. Data retention & your rights

You can clear all locally stored export data at any time from your browser. To request deletion of any diagnostic data associated with your feedback, contact us using the details below.
